Cabot’s Candygram: New Year, Fresh Start

Cabot’s Candygram: New Year, Fresh Start

Ok I know, I know, everyone has a New Year’s resolution. This year will it be to get fit? Read more? Facebook less? Whatever your resolution is and whatever your reason for having it, I support you. I think that it’s important to be able to have a time of the year where the process of reflection and recalibration is expected and celebrated. It is so necessary to hit pause in life - especially after all of the (joyful) madness of the holiday season is over.

For me this past year has been marked by new opportunities, new friends, reconnections with family, and (just a few) disappointments along the way. I have had the feeling that time is marching on and stopping all at once. The busyness of the holiday season can make it seem like the craziness will never end - presents to wrap, people (who are in town for only a day) to see, food to buy and cook, etc., etc. Then at 12:00am on January 1st it all stops. We know there is still a lot to do but it seems like we all take a deep breath in... and breathe out the season behind us.

Our two Cabot’s Candy stores (Provincetown and Cambridge, MA) were buzzing all season with guests interested in seeing what delicious confections we had to delight the senses. We were grateful to receive visitors from all over the globe and make a lot of new friends. Now that the final chocolate Santas and candy canes have been cleared from the shelves we will be taking time to refresh and restock for the coming weeks. We are so thankful for the kindness of our customers and vendors and we will meet 2020 with joy. We are open for business year round (check Provincetown for special seasonal hours), so please stop by, say “hello”, and grab yourself a special treat! If you can’t make it in you can see what we are up to via Facebook and Instagram - see you there!

Stay sweet!
