Cabot's Candygram: Lights! Camera! Chocolate!

Cabot's Candygram: Lights! Camera! Chocolate!

This past month we were lucky enough to join Kelly Clarkson on The Kelly Clarkson show featured as a small business in her new local community spotlight. We were delighted to have been asked to join in the fun with other featured companies and persons of interest making positive change in their communities. Boston may be a small city, but when friends and neighbors get together to celebrate each other, great things can happen.

The show had caught wind of the Harvard Square Business Association’s 12th Annual Taste of Chocolate Festival where we handed out about 1500 samples (35 pounds!) of our homemade fudge. We joined other local companies such as David’s Tea, JP Licks, Beat Brew Hall, Blackbird Doughnuts, and Flour Bakery. Getting outside on a cold day in January with about 1500 of your closest friends and neighbors to share a plate laden with chocolate is just about the best way we can think of to spend a Saturday. Thank you to the HSBA for the beautiful video, click below...

As a way to showcase the small/local side of Boston and Cambridge as well as the chocolate festival event, Kelly and her team reached out to the Harvard Square Business Association, who in turn recommended Cabot’s Candy to help give a taste of what the festival is all about. Kelly’s producers asked us to send 150 samples to their studio audience in California for the taping, as well as to bring a sampling of our fudge, taffy and brittle to the studio in Boston and talk about it with local TV anchor Jackie Bruno and Kelly Clarkson via live feed. Our company was represented by owner and fearless boss lady Jen Kurani who said that it was a bit daunting to step into the national spotlight but that it was an honor to share our sweets with Kelly, NBC10, and The Hub Today. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and we’d like to thank them all for their wonderful support! See the clip below...
